This 6-day safari takes you on an exciting journey to two of Uganda’s most famous locations: Murchison Falls National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You’ll fly to Murchison Falls to see the Nile River roar through a narrow gorge, explore the park’s wildlife on a game drive, and enjoy a peaceful boat cruise on the river.
Afterward, you’ll fly to Kihihi and connect to Buhoma for an unforgettable gorilla tracking experience. The trip wraps up with a visit to the Batwa community, where you’ll learn about their unique culture. This itinerary gives you a mix of Uganda’s stunning scenery, wildlife, and local traditions.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Welcome to the Pearl of Africa
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a representative from Kange Safaris who will drive you to your hotel. Once at your hotel, you can settle in and unwind after your travels, enjoying a relaxing evening as you prepare for the adventure to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest the following day.

Day 2: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park & Visit the Falls
Your adventure begins with a flight from Entebbe to Pakuba in Murchison Falls National Park. After arriving, you’ll head straight to the top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating powerful waterfalls. The views and the sound of the crashing water are unforgettable. You’ll spend time enjoying this natural wonder before heading to your lodge for the evening, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.

Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls
Start your day with an exciting game drive through the park’s vast savannah. As the sun rises, you’ll see wildlife like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes moving across the plains as you embark on the search for lions and leopards.
After a break for lunch, your afternoon is spent on a relaxing boat cruise along the Nile. You’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, and plenty of birds as you sail towards the base of the falls, where you can admire the waterfall from below. The combination of wildlife and breathtaking scenery makes this day truly special.

Day 4: Fly to Kihihi & Transfer to Buhoma
After breakfast, you’ll catch a flight from Murchison Falls to Kihihi, in the southwest of Uganda. From there, you’ll drive through beautiful hills and valleys to Buhoma, the most popular sector for gorilla tracking. The misty, green landscape is a perfect backdrop as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla adventure. Relax at your lodge and take in the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking & Batwa Community Visit
Today is the highlight of your trip: gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest. You’ll join experienced guides to hike through the dense forest in search of a family of mountain gorillas. Once you find them, you’ll have the rare opportunity to observe these gentle giants up close. It’s an awe-inspiring experience. Afterward, you’ll visit the nearby Batwa community, learning about their rich culture and long history in the forest. This day offers both thrilling wildlife and a deep cultural connection.
