You will then transfer to Bwindi’s impenetrable forest. The drive is long but equally rewarding as you will go past many small towns, villages, farms, and stunning views of the changing countryside.
You will reach Bwindi in the evening and check in at your lodge where they will be expecting you. You will have some time in the evening to relax from the long drive and prepare for your gorilla-tracking experience the next day.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable
On this day, you will wake up very early for your breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters. You will have to be at the park offices by 7:00 am to attend the briefing about your gorilla tracking activity.
After your briefing, you will join the other visitors in a group of 8 and head into the misty forest searching for gorillas. The gorilla trek takes you through the steep slopes and thick vegetation of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
When you reach the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with them and get to see them interact with each other, eat and play around. After the time with gorillas, you will return to the starting point and receive your gorilla tracking certificate.
Depending on how long your gorilla trek takes, you might have enough time in the afternoon to go for a community visit and learn about Batwa, the early forest dwellers. You will then spend some leisure time at the lodge to relax and let the gorilla experience sink in.

You can even place one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and the other in the Southern Hemisphere and take some photos to remember your visit.
