How to get to Kidepo Valley National Park
By Road: The Park is located approximately 600 kilometers from Kampala, with a driving time of about 10-12 hours via the Gulu and Kitgum routes. The roads can be rough and require a 4×4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season. This long journey can be split up with a night at either Ziwa or in Gulu.
By Air: Scheduled and Charter flights are available from Entebbe International Airport to Kidepo Airstrip, which is a more convenient option for reaching the park. The flight takes approximately 1.5 hours, offering a scenic view of Uganda’s landscapes. From the airstrip, it’s a short drive to the park’s main areas.
